Leaving the Hospital and Coming Home!

Today we came home from the hospital.  I got dressed in real clothes - I was lucky that they fit me, because they were a little bit snug.  I weighed 8 lbs 4 oz on Saturday, but yesterday I gained some weight back already, and today I weighed 8 lbs 9 oz.  Today was my first time riding in a car - well, since I was born.  I sat in the backseat, and mom sat next to me while dad drove.  I slept the whole way home - I really like the car!

Once we got home, I was able to finally meet Porter.  I have been hearing him for the past 9 months, so finally I was able to see him.  He didn't really know what was going on, but he missed my mom and dad after staying with Oma, so he was very excited to be home and to see them.  He doesn't really know what to think about me yet.

After all this activity, I was exhausted.  I have a bassinet to sleep in that my mom and her sisters all used too.  It is so pretty - very different from the clear plastic one that I had been sleeping in at the hospital.  It sure didn't take me long to fall asleep at home!

I had my eyes open for this video - they are always telling me that I never open my eyes, because I'm always sleeping.  I saw my first sunset through the front windows at home.
